The certification validates The Helper Bees’ commitment to meeting the highest standards of safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring the trust of its clients, partners and the older adults it serves. The 1-year certification specifically applies to The Helper Bees’ homeAlign platform and the Care Management System.

HITRUST CSF (Common Security Framework) is a comprehensive set of security and privacy controls designed to address the specific regulatory and risk management needs of organizations within the healthcare industry. This rigorous framework integrates a multitude of globally recognized standards, including HIPAA, ISO, NIST, and COBIT, providing a comprehensive and scalable approach to managing information security risks.

“We’re extremely proud to have achieved HITRUST CSF® v9.6 certification,” said Dr. Char Hu, Ph.D, CEO of The Helper Bees. “As a company dedicated to improving the lives of seniors and their families, data security and privacy are a top priority. This certification underscores our commitment to ensuring the highest level of protection for the personal information entrusted to us.”

Achieving the HITRUST CSF® v9.6 certification requires a comprehensive and thorough assessment of an organization’s security infrastructure, policies, and procedures. It involves an extensive evaluation of data protection controls, risk management practices, incident response protocols, and ongoing monitoring and improvement processes. The Helper Bees successfully met the requirements for the v9.6 certification.
