The Helper Bees and TruBlue Bring Home Maintenance Services to Aging-in-Place Community

December 9, 2021 in News

Older Adults Now Have Easy Access to Quality Home Maintenance

One of the top needs of those aging in place is home maintenance. While medical services may come to mind first, keeping a house repaired and hospitable is key to maintaining independence as we age. TruBlue Total House Care sees this need and has partnered with The Helper Bees to bring easy home maintenance to older adults across America. The 60-plus-unit home-services franchise has carved out a niche as the foremost brand focused on providing complete home maintenance services for older adults and busy families.

Beginning in early 2022, TruBlue services will be offered to members eligible through The Helper Bees’ health plan partners. With 60+ units across the nation, older adults will have ease of access to home modifications performed by certified TruBlue professionals. Home safety measures include grab bars, handheld showerheads, and slip-resistant floor mats, all personalized for each member’s needs.

Through its acquisition of healthAlign earlier this year, The Helper Bees is convening thousands of credentialed providers – including in-home care, meals and nutritional support, home modification, pest control, and more – all onto a single platform. This platform enables plans to offer a broader range of aging-in-place services while also allowing the insured the ability to access a user-friendly “one-stop-shop” that supports their independence at home.

The Helper Bees handles all provider onboarding, credentialing, claims processing and reimbursement, and quality control. The offering is built around flexible bundles of in-home services that policyholders can self-manage through a digital wallet of credits.

A home should be a warm and relaxing place. TruBlue and The Helper Bees want to keep this true for all older adults. With safety in mind for those most in need, TruBlue’s partnership with The Helper Bees will transform the aging-in-place experience.
