I enjoy working with families of all types. My paid experience has been with families with young children. I cared for my parents in their home for 6 years; and visited my mother frequently while she was in nursing home for her last several years. My primary hobby is gardening. I also love hanging out with my 2 cats. I spend as much time as I can with my far-flung extended family and I am active in my (Episcopal) church.
I am not a spring chicken! So I relate to the issues of aging. I am single and never had children, so my clients mean a great deal to me. I am good at making trusting relationships. I tend to use a combination of compassion and humor in my work and I am genuine with my clients. I am something of a Luddite, and don't like doing a lot of computer work, but I'm not resistant to getting my hands dirty.
