Caring for and helping others is truly a passion of mine. My first and main experience in the health field has been providing services to people with Intellectual disabilities. I have provided services and had training for various forms of disabilities. (Dementia/Alzheimers, Autism, Dual diagnosis, Borderline Personality Disorder, Down Syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Epilepsy, Diabetes, Major Depressive Disorder, Cerebral Palsy Bi Polar disorder) In New York state I am currently CPR/First aid certified, I have had my medication administration certification, SCIP, and PRAISE certifications. I genuinely enjoy being able to help and provide care to others. Some may need extensive care, while others may need some company, a listening ear, a good conversation, a laugh and a warm smile. I truly take a great deal of pride in my work and connections with those I am around. I have a strong work ethic, am very respectful, and responsible. I personally cared for my ill father for many years. After experiencing that, I fully understand how important it is to treat a client as a individual, a person who deserves and needs compassion, understanding, attention, and patience.
