A friend of mine needed assistance giving care to an elderly person and I was available to assist her. I also have elderly parents that have required my assistance with errands, bathing, feeding, and general personal care. My mother recently passed away and I find I have additional time to help others. I am a mature and dependable person who has cared for many adults with dementia who were in need of personal care. These include non-family members as well as my late husband and mother. I currently care for my father as well when needed. I am patient and understanding with patients that I have cared for. I gain a feeling of accomplishment from taking good care of people.
