Caregiving is important to me because I feel that they hold families together. A caregiver is a person who has made a self-sacrifice to devote themselves to assist and aid the well being of someone else who is unable to properly do so themselves. This is very important because we all will need help. I have had the pleasure and opportunity to work with the elderly and special needs population for many years, and can truly say that I enjoy what I do. I enjoy helping others with their every day living skills, while promoting independence. I am very creative in finding new ideas of community inclusion. Over the years, I learned to establish a positive and trusting relationship with the people I support first, as it is very important.
