I live on a 200 acre ranch with my husband. We raise cattle. I enjoy watching them and feeding them. They all have their own little personalities. We have 2 dogs that like to take walks and investigate the outdoors. I also like to look for unusual rocks. We have a lot of fossils here. I have a cactus garden that I put them in. If I am at home I am usually outside. There is always something to do to maintain the property.
I took care of my dad for 6 years after my mom passed away. It was challenging to take care of him. He could be difficult at times, but it was also very rewarding, when I could make him happy. I tried to make his life easier and more enjoyable. I would like to do the same for other people. I am an optimistic person with a positive attitude. I worked for the government for 30 years before retiring. Diplomacy and customer satisfaction were an important part of my job. I always look for the good in people and the humor in things.

I volunteered at Off the Beaten Path. It was a Christ-centered organization that helped victims of domestic violence. I also volunteered at the Good Samaritan. It's a food bank and theft store in Blanco, TX. It's closed now because of the virus.
