What’s your favorite memory from your time with THB so far?

Our House - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young

One is from the early days of THB when we worked out of Danny's house. I remember interviewing there and wondering what I'd gotten myself into as dogs barked throughout the house and teams worked from converted bedrooms. We shared a kitchen, had weekly lunches together, and although we worked in different departments, there was a strong sense that we were all building something together. We worked hard, supported one another, and celebrated the company's successes as a team. When COVID hit, we were told the business was about to take off — and it did. I helped onboard many employees who joined during that period, setting up equipment and getting them started. Looking back, it's incredible to see how much we've grown since those early days. Another favorite memory is a recognition moment from October 2024, when a teammate nominated me as the person they'd most want to work with because I make sure the people around me are taken care of, even when that means talking them out of sleeping in their car. It meant a lot because it reflected the kind of culture we have at THB: People genuinely look out for one another, both professionally and personally.

What does our mission mean to you?

Changes - David Bowie

When I started at THB, I was on the phones talking directly with members and their families. Those conversations gave me an appreciation for how important it is for people to remain independent and stay in their homes for as long as possible. Over the years, my role has changed quite a bit, but the mission still feels personal because I can see how the work we do behind the scenes ultimately supports those same people. It's rewarding to be part of something that helps people maintain their independence and dignity.

Many of our team members have been caregivers themselves. Do you have a personal experience with caregiving? If so, please share your story.

Handy Man - James Taylor

I haven't been a primary caregiver myself, but working at THB has definitely influenced how I think about helping people remain safe and independent at home. Recently, I was looking for information about grab bar installation and reached out to our Marketing team to see what resources we had available. It was a good reminder that the information and resources we create aren't just useful for members and partners. It's one of those moments that made our mission feel very real and practical.

The Bees are an interesting bunch of people. Tell us something cool about you!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game - Jack Norworth & Albert Von Tilzer

I've been campaigning for a company baseball outing for over six years. Persistence may not be a hobby, but apparently it's one of my defining personality traits. :)

What do you hope to accomplish at THB in the next year?

Takin' Care of Business - Bachman-Turner Overdrive

I hope to continue finding ways to work smarter, anticipate needs, and make life a little easier for the people I support. After seven years at THB, I still genuinely love what I do!

Which THB Slack channel is your favorite?

Private Eyes - Daryl Hall & John Oates
