My favorite memory actually goes back to my first visit to the THB office, before I was officially an employee. I just came by to pick up my equipment, but everyone was so welcoming! Terry showed me around and unexpectedly introduced me to Char, our CEO. I was a little nervous about meeting him on the spot, but as soon as we started talking, I could tell how warm and welcoming the culture was. I also love that our CEO personally welcomes every new Bee on their first day. It’s a small gesture, but it says a lot about how much each person is valued here.
I’ve always had a strong desire to help and support people, which is what drew me to HR. That’s why being part of a company with such a meaningful mission feels so aligned with my values. I’m proud to contribute — even behind the scenes — to work that helps older adults remain independent, comfortable, and safe in their own homes. Aging is something we all experience, so the work THB does could make a difference in any of our lives — or in the life of someone we love — one day.
I don’t have a personal caregiving experience to share, but working at THB has given me a deeper appreciation for caregivers and the meaningful difference they make in people’s lives.
Over the last 10 years, since I was 18, I rarely lived in the same home for more than a year. I’ve moved between different homes and cities and lived in three countries. My biggest move was coming to the U.S. after winning the green card lottery on my first try. The odds were incredibly low (0.5%), so it still feels like God’s plan! All that moving taught me to adapt quickly and love a fresh start. My outlook is simple: Take chances and make the most of life. I’d rather try something and regret it than never try and always wonder “what if?” And now, after two years in my current home (a personal record!), I’m already planning my next move!
It may sound like a classic answer, but with such an incredible team around me, my main goal is to keep growing professionally and take on broader responsibilities so I can bring even more value to our people and the company. I’m excited to keep learning and finding new ways to contribute at THB.
